The inaugural Women in Agriculture Conference will be held on Sept. 12^th and 13^th in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, Fort Worth, Texas.

      The two-day event is designed to assist farm and ranch women with problem solving, record keeping and decision-making skills. The conference will cover topics designed to help them with financial sustainability, management resources, risk management, legal and liability issues, family financial planning and ranch management.

      In addition, there will be an evening event designed to facilitate networking, while having fun in the historic setting.

      Women in Agriculture will include Terry Forst as a featured speaker during an interactive “talk show” style session during the September 13 breakfast. Forst, a fifth generation Oklahoman, is the general manager of the Stuart 7S Ranch—Oklahoma’s oldest ranch under continuous family ownership – which celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2018. With more than 40,000 acres spanning across parts of southeastern and southwestern Oklahoma, Forst has courageously faced the challenges of Oklahoma weather, changing markets and world events with eternal optimism and a deep faith.

      Another featured speaker will be Anne Kimmey, CEO of Cultivate Agency. She is a regionally recognized communications expert in B2B and B2C marketing and will provide insight into successfully marketing ag products.

      The conference is inspired by the very successful Annie’s Project, which provides educational programs to strengthen women’s roles in the modern farm/ranch enterprise.
