The International Brangus Breeders Association (IBBA) welcomes Cord Weinheimer, Taylor, Texas, to serve as the organization’s director of field staff, genetics and advertising.

Weinheimer will lead efforts to strengthen membership relations, drive growth in IBBA’s genetic programs and enhance communications that promote the value of the Brangus breed nationwide.

“We are thrilled to have Cord join the IBBA team,” says Rick Cozzitorto, IBBA executive vice president. “His experience managing both commercial and registered cattle operations, combined with his expertise in member engagement and advertising, makes him uniquely qualified to serve our membership and advance the Brangus breed. We look forward to the energy and perspective he brings to our organization.”

Weinheimer is a sixth-generation rancher from the Texas Hill Country and earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Texas A&M University in 2016. Following graduation, he gained hands-on experience as a herdsman with Rolke Ranch and Stalwart Ranch before serving as the Southwest regional field representative for the American Hereford Association.

“I am excited to step into this role at the IBBA,” Weinheimer says. “My goal is to expand the footprint of the Brangus breed, enhance exposure nationally and provide breeders with tools and programs that support sound genetics and strong operations. I look forward to engaging with members across the country, learning from them, and working together to move the breed and association forward.” Weinheimer steps into his role at IBBA as the association embarks on a new year of growth, innovation and member-focused initiatives
