Just Your Standard Bull
February 6, 2025
I encourage everyone to follow the Department of Government Efficiency on X. It went live on Nov. 12, 2024. But what you really want to see is all the examples of fraud, waste and abuse our government has allowed in recent years.
But before I give some of these examples, I think its important to share a post made on Jan. 17th. “The last time a comprehensive review of the federal government was completed in 1984, the budget was $848 billion, national debt was $1.6 trillion and debt to GDP ratio was 38%. The budget is now $7 trillion, the national debt is $35.3 trillion and the debt to GDP ratio is 121.6%”
Interesting tidbits

Jan. 24 – In the first 80 hours, of new administration, approximately $420 million of current/impending contracts have been cancelled. Two leases also have been cancelled. The Initial focus mainly on DEI contracts and unoccupied buildings.
Jan. 26 – Another $145M in federal savings due to cancellations of 16 DEIA contracts by the Departments of Labor, Transportation, Agriculture, Commerce, HHS, and Treasury. Thanks to those departments for their pro-active and rapid work.
Jan. 28 – DOGE is saving the Federal Government approx. $1 billion/day, mostly from stopping the hiring of people into unnecessary positions, deletion of DEI and stopping improper payments to foreign organizations, all consistent with the President’s Executive Orders.

Feb. 2 – In the past six days, the number of lease terminations of underutilized buildings has increased from 3 to 22, with savings increased from $1.6M to $44.6M.
THERE IS MORE! And they will continue to dig into these issues each and every day. This stuff excites me! I don’t know about you, but I think we should print a list of these things in each issue until we actually get to the point of spending less than what we take in! Novel concept!
