Just Your Standard Bull

Michael Sturgess, Southern Livestock Standard

October 26, 2024

Every four years comes around and I have a column where I encourage you to get out and vote. JUST VOTE!

Now, I understand that not all of you wear maroon as I do. Some of you wear burnt orange. Vote anyway!

We can all agree to disagree at times, but the moral of the story is this. We live in the best country in the world. We have the freedom to vote our conscious. We have the right to freedom of speech, the right to bear arms and more. But we also have the right to filter out the nonsense.

No matter who wins this election, their term will begin in 2025 and end in 2028. There are no dictators—only a president. The loser of this election will not be imprisoned, nor will its constituents.

There is rhetoric—and there is fact. There are no Fascists, Marxists or communists—only Americans. You are not a racist for voting one way or the other. JUST VOTE!

No matter the outcome, the pressing issue at hand is getting a firm grasp on government spending. Government giveaways are not the answer. Printing more money will not solve our problems, and both sides are guilty of it.

So vote. But what ever you do, hold them accountable for their actions!
